Wain v Robinson 2 To headline CC13 on 28th April 2012

Neil Wain and Colin Robinson will take to the cage once again in April, following their thrilling three round title fight last month at Cage Contender 11.

“Cage Contender are happy to continue the trend of giving Irish MMA fans exactly what they want.” Ferguson stated, “We currently televise more Irish MMA each year than any other MMA promotion and we intend to continue doing so through season three and throughout 2012.”

“The final round of the fight between Wain and Robinson is possibly the best round ever on a Cage Contender show and both UFC veterans are willing to put it all all the line once again.”

Neil Wain defeated Colin Robinson for the Cage Contender heavyweight title last month by decision. Winning the first two rounds, Wain gassed in the third and Robinson started to comeback; unfortunately running out of time though. One judge scored the last round to Robinson 10-8 and the fight a draw; the other two officials though scored it 10-9 with Wain getting the nod.

Whilst Wain did win the fight and the belt, he is still very happy to face Robinson once again and has even commented to say that he thinks the Belfast fans are the best he has performed in front of.

The rematch gives Robinson, who humorously called Wain a Ninja Turtle lookalike in a VT, another chance at gaining the gold and some revenge.

“Season three will build on the success we had with season two and the coming year will see our broadcast partners showing the preliminary cards as well as the main card.” Ferguson continued, ”

Cage Contender 13 takes place on April 28th at the World famous King’s Hall Complex in Belfast, Ireland. The Heavyweight title fight between Wain and Robinson will most likely headline the card.
