Dean Lister is the latest international super name reveled by Cage Contender for Season 3 (2012) and two years since his last MMA bout, Dean “The Boogeyman” Lister (11-7-0) has been signed to compete in the co main event at Cage Contender XIII in Belfast on 28th April 2012

A three-time ADCC champion, Lister brings a very high level of grappling to his fights. Lister was a King of the Cage Middleweight Champion before making the successful move to Pride FC and then finally the UFC came calling in 2006 where he competed 6 times leaving a 4-2-0 legacy in his wake

Widely acclaimed as one of the finest grapplers on the planet he holds wins over such notable fighters as Alessio Sakara, Akira Shoji, Jeremy Horn and Jordan Radev.

But Lister is not expected to get everything his own way as standing across the canvas will be a middleweight who holds a near legendary status in Irish MMA Rod Moore. Northern Ireland’s Next Generation representative Moore (7-7-0) is a seven-year professional of mixed martial arts and coaches one of the most successful MMA team in Ireland. His record shows he is a veteran of quality promotions like Cage Wars and FX3 holding notable wins over wins over top drawer quality like Jason Jones and John Donnelly.
